Description

Pottery Wheel Improvers Class is designed for students who have completed an introductory class and are ready to refine their technique and gain the confidence to throw independently. You’ll strengthen your throwing fundamentals, learn how to centre more consistently, and gain confidence shaping larger or more complex forms. A chance to keep practicing behind the wheel and develop your skill at your own pace with hands-on support in a relaxed, small-group setting. You’ll Learn: -Improving centring and pulling techniques -Shaping bowls, cylinders, and more advanced forms -Throw larger pieces Who It’s For: Students who have completed my Introduction to the Pottery Wheel class or have basic experience working with clay on the pottery wheel. Pottery Wheel Improvers Class helps bridge the gap between beginner and independent maker. You’ll leave the course with stronger technical skills, a deeper understanding of clay, and a set of unique, handmade pieces you’ll be proud to show off. £60 per person or save 30% if you purchase the 'Pottery Wheel Block (4 Sessions)' which includes a total of 4 sessions of this class to book whenever suits you. You will make several pots in the 2 hour session within a small class (up to a maximum of 4 people). Choose your favourite pot to fire in a glaze of your choice and then I will arrange collection or postage. There is an option to purchase more pots that you make at an additional £5 per pot. Aprons are provided however wear clothes you don't mind getting clay on (it will wash out). Please note it may take up to 10 weeks for your pieces to be ready for collection/postage. Ages 13+ (Teens 13-16 must be accompanied by an adult) All classes are based in my Pottery studio near Malpas, Cheshire.
